Before bursting onto the international stage, Melinda Watts began her
career as a High School teacher, where she saw up close the difficult
struggles girls face everyday. Motivated by her love and passion for
the youth, particularly young women who grapple with unique
pressures, Watts set out to make a difference by launching programs
and organizations specifically designed to empower, uplift, instruct,
and help girls. Today, even with a busy musical career, family, and
other ministry obligations, her work continues on.
Watts, who is an official partner of the United Nations "Girl Up"
program, travels across the country hosting The Dream Girlz
Gathering, a high-energy, power-packed conference designed to
uplift, inspire, and teach girls ranging in age from 8-18. Full of
pampering, fun, worship, workshops, prayer and more, girls
everywhere are experiencing a life-changing encounter!
